I’m so glad
you’re here!
A little about me:
Lilah Snajder (b. 2002, CT) is an artist currently living and working in Savannah, GA. While primarily a painter, her practice involves elements of mixed media, digital design, and poetry. By utilizing vibrant colors and pattern, she explores themes of human connection and femininity, bridging the gap between the individual and the communal experience.
Her paintings have been featured in four group shows, including the 2024 Fine Arts Showcase at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Recent projects include work as a window muralist for a Connecticut small business. She will graduate from SCAD with a BFA in painting and a minor in art history in spring 2026.
Despite growing up rooted in a hyper-individualistic culture, I’m interested in the universality of human thought and emotion. Tapping into humanity’s thoughts in unison, my paintings acknowledge that my grief, anger, joy, and connection are in good company. Painting allows me to bridge the gap between the individual and the communal experience and emphasize the modern collapse of and simultaneous immense need for community.
While my specific personal experiences inevitably leak into my work, I’m predominantly interested in highlighting the common threads that stitch together every living thing. My paintings are often led by a primary strong emotion, and are influenced by poetry, digital design, and photography.
Vibrant color, maximalism, and complex pattern consistently permeate my work. The overstimulation of color and pattern communicates the beauty, complexity, and overwhelming nature of the human experience. Whether I’m exploring ubiquitous emotions, humanity’s intrinsic connection to the natural world, or the shared experiences within femininity, these overarching elements transcend content. The resulting work is largely figurative, vivid, and universally relatable.
